Although i’m busy with stuffs all these while, i’ve been following INNIT from time to time. I’ve read about the Dinner @ JW Marriott and a Movie Premiere on Nuffnang Blog as well. I saw some fellow bloggers scoring VERY HIGH marks in the fishing game. I want to go to the dinner as well.
So, I took out some time each day to relax myself by playing the fishing game and trying my luck to get a high score in order to get myself the invitation to the dinner.
I played and got addicted and i was so into it to get a high score. DARN.
Just 2 days ago, i got lucky and this is the highest i can go!!!!

The deadline is 4th June. Good thing i’m still in time. hehehehe

Know the Code, Don’t Know the Theory
One down, 3 to go.
Finally completed my Haskell programming assignment and got lucky as well.
No not women lucky, even though becoming desperate like someone. *nyek!*
Lucky in the sense that I had my presentation on the same day of submission and I was told off by my lecturer on certain issues on my whole assignment. It seems that there was a document entitled “Assignment Requirements” in the Learnfinity system (it’s something we use to get our courseware and learning slides) placed there a month ago.
Knowing me, I didn’t know about it coz, physically I’m in class, mentally no. So yeah, didn’t know about it.
In the doc stated that I need to present my program in a way that there’s an answer to show for each question. To me, as a final year student, is utter bullshit. By right, based from other programming modules that I’ve taken, you present the system as a whole, not in bits and pieces.
Luckily, a classmate told me that I need to do some redundant work on the system to show how I answered each question, one by one. I got creative, and grouped and combined the solutions, yet somehow also kena coz I didn’t show question by question.

Next was documentation. It seems that I’m not allowed to take screenshots without the window frame of the application in it.
Non geeks read: screenshot = a picture of your screen, window frame = the picture of the application window.
I wanted to save space by cropping the useless parts (eg: WINDOW FRAME) because: paper & ink = expensive. Sammy said: “Later if I check your document, I wouldn’t know whether you’re cheating because you can just take a screenshot of same text in notepad”.
Again, utter bullshit. I can still use notepad, and use photoshop to add in the frame. So what’s the point again? Also, you got the program to view and test. If you lost the program, well you’ll surely request for a copy from the students.

Not too long ago, I heard that someone lost a whole stack of assignments, and therefore requested the students to reprint and resubmit. After all the lectures and constant reminders of “PLEASE BACKUP YOUR WORK” for countless times, why can’t the college do backups on their side as well?

During the Q&A session, I didn’t know what were the answer to the theory question. Even answered “I don’t know”, but answered well during the practical question. He asked me how to calculate the sum for a+b+c. Felt a bit degrading to be asked such question but, never mind la, got through it.
I had to redo my documentation according to his specifications and reprinted and submitted it later in the evening.
So again, one down, 3 to go.

The Signs!
There’s no Internet at home.. So I’m now at Starbucks @ Damansara Uptown, freezing and blogging and supposed to do work.
It seems that the telephone wire inside the house has finally gave way to the rats. So no Internet until dad misses the Internet, then only he’ll get someone to fix it.
Damnit it’s so cold! Regret not wearing more before coming here.. *brrr*
This must be another sign to tell me..
